詩篇(Psalm) 18:26 清潔的人，你以清潔待他；乖僻的人，你以彎曲待他。

18:26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.

• Froward: (of a person) difficult to deal with; contrary,（形容人）難應付；相反。

創世記(Genesis) 3:1 耶和華神所造的，惟有蛇比田野一切的活物更狡猾。蛇對女人說：「神豈是真說不許你們吃園中所有樹上的果子嗎？」

3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

哥林多後書(2 Corinthians) 1:17 我有此意，豈是反覆不定嗎？我所起的意，豈是從情慾起的，叫我忽是忽非嗎？

1:17 When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?

1:18 我指着信實的神說，我們向你們所傳的道，並沒有是而又非的。

1:18 But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.

1:19 因為我和西拉並提摩太，在你們中間所傳神的兒子耶穌基督，總沒有是而又非的，在他只有一是。

1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timothy, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

馬太福音(Matthew) 5:37 你們的話，是，就說是；不是，就說不是；若再多說就是出於那惡者（或譯：就是從惡裏出來的）。」

5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
