馬可福音(Mark) 9:49 因為必用火當鹽醃各人。（有古卷加：凡祭物必用鹽醃。）

9:49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

創世記 19:26 羅得的妻子在後邊回頭一看，就變成了**一根鹽柱**。

19:27 亞伯拉罕清早起來，到了他從前站在耶和華面前的地方，

歷代志下(2 Chronicles) 13:5 耶和華－以色列的神曾立鹽約（鹽就是不廢壞的意思），將以色列國永遠賜給大衛和他的子孫，你們不知道嗎？

13:5 Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

以西結書(Ezekiel) 16:4 論到你出世的景況，在你初生的日子沒有為你斷臍帶，也沒有用水洗你，**使你潔淨**，絲毫沒有**撒鹽在你身上**，也沒有用布裹你。

16:4 And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
