尼希米記(Nehemiah) 7:3 Until the sun be hot

尼希米記(Nehemiah) 7:3 我吩咐他們說：「等到太陽上升才可開耶路撒冷的城門；人尚看守的時候就要關門上閂；也當派耶路撒冷的居民各按班次看守自己房屋對面之處。」

7:3 And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.

• The doors are shut until noonday

撒母耳記上(1 Samuel) 11:9 眾人對那使者說：「你們要回覆基列‧雅比人說，明日太陽近午的時候，你們必得解救。」使者回去告訴雅比人，他們就歡喜了。

11:9 And they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabesh–gilead, To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.

約伯記(Job) 11:17 你在世的日子要比正午更明，雖有黑暗仍像早晨。

11:17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

詩篇(Psalm) 37:6 他要使你的公義如光發出，使你的公平明如正午。

37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

以賽亞書(Isaiah) 58:10 你心若向飢餓的人發憐憫，使困苦的人得滿足，你的光就必在黑暗中發現；你的幽暗必變如正午。

58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

西番雅書(Zephaniah) 2:4 迦薩必致見棄；亞實基倫必然荒涼。人在正午必趕出亞實突的民；以革倫也被拔出根來。

2:4 For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.

尼希米記(Nehemiah) 8:3 在水門前的寬闊處，從清早到晌午，在眾男女、一切聽了能明白的人面前讀這律法書。眾民側耳而聽。

8:3 And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.

使徒行傳(Acts) 26:13 王啊，我在路上，晌午的時候，看見從天發光，比日頭還亮，四面照着我並與我同行的人。

26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
