聖經中的“外邦人” （一）

Heathen vs Gentiles: 中文都譯為“外邦人”，但根據KJV聖經，他們有本質的不同。

（一） The heathen

• 他們在我們四圍；

利未記(Leviticus) 25:44 至於你的奴僕、婢女，可以從你四圍的國中買。

25:44 Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

• 被散在heathen中是一種咒詛；

利未記(Leviticus) 26:14 「你們若不聽從我，不遵行我的誡命，

26:14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

26:33 我要把你們散在列邦中；我也要拔刀追趕你們。你們的地要成為荒場；你們的城邑要變為荒涼。

26:33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

撒迦利亞書(Zechariah) 8:13 猶大家和以色列家啊，你們從前在列國中怎樣成為可咒詛的；照樣，我要拯救你們，使人稱你們為有福的（或譯：使你們叫人得福）。你們不要懼怕，手要強壯。」

8:13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

• 神所膏的王不認識他們；他們也不認識神；

撒母耳記下(2 Samuel) 22:44 你救我脫離我百姓的爭競，保護我作列國的元首；我素不認識的民必事奉我。

22:44 Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.

耶利米書(Jeremiah) 10:25 願你將忿怒傾在不認識你的列國中，和不求告你名的各族上；因為他們吞了雅各，不但吞了，而且滅絕，把他的住處變為荒場。

10:25 Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

馬太福音(Matthew) 7:22 當那日必有許多人對我說：『主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳道，奉你的名趕鬼，奉你的名行許多異能嗎？』

7:23 我就明明地告訴他們說：『我從來不認識你們，你們這些作惡的人，離開我去吧！』」

7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

• 他們所行的是惡；他們被耶和華從以色列人面前趕出；

列王記下(2 Kings) 16:3 卻效法以色列諸王所行的，又照着耶和華從以色列人面前趕出的外邦人所行可憎的事，使他的兒子經火，

16:3 But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.

16:4 並在邱壇上、山岡上、各青翠樹下獻祭燒香。

16:4 And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

• 誰是被耶和華從以色列人面前趕出的？那些高大的民；

創世記 15:18 當那日，耶和華與亞伯蘭立約，說：「我已賜給你的後裔，從埃及河直到幼發拉底大河之地，

15:19 就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、

15:20 赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、

15:21 亞摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人、耶布斯人之地。」

申命記(Deuteronomy) 7:1 「耶和華－你神領你進入要得為業之地，從你面前趕出許多國民，就是赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，**共七國的民，都比你強大**。

7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

申命記 7:22 耶和華－你神必將這些國的民從你面前**漸漸趕出**；你不可把他們速速滅盡，恐怕野地的獸多起來害你。

約書亞記 15:63 至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，猶大人不能把他們趕出去，耶布斯人卻在耶路撒冷與猶大人同住，**直到今日**。

約書亞記 17:13 及至以色列人強盛了，就使迦南人做苦工，沒有把他們全然趕出。

列王記下(2 Kings) 17:7 這是因以色列人得罪那領他們出埃及地、脫離埃及王法老手的耶和華－他們的神，去敬畏別神，

17:8 隨從耶和華在他們面前所趕出外邦人的風俗和以色列諸王所立的條規。

17:8 And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.

哥林多後書(2 Corinthians) 11:26 又屢次行遠路，遭江河的危險、盜賊的危險、同族的危險、外邦人的危險、城裏的危險、曠野的危險、海中的危險、假弟兄的危險。

11:26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

• 神啊，求你救我們，聚集我們，使我們脫離heathen；

歷代志上(1 Chronicles) 16:35 要說：拯救我們的神啊，求你救我們，聚集我們，使我們脫離外邦，我們好稱讚你的聖名，以讚美你為誇勝。

16:35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.

• 他們是污穢的，也污穢了神的聖殿；

以斯拉記(Ezra) 6:21 從擄到之地歸回的以色列人和一切除掉所染外邦人污穢、歸附他們、要尋求耶和華－以色列神的人都吃這羊羔，

6:21 And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat,

詩篇(Psalm) 79:1 神啊，外邦人進入你的產業，污穢你的聖殿，使耶路撒冷變成荒堆，

79:1 O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.

• heathen 是我們的仇敵；

尼希米記(Nehemiah) 5:9 我又說：「你們所行的不善！你們行事不當敬畏我們的神嗎？不然，難免我們的仇敵外邦人毀謗我們。

5:9 Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?

• 他們發怒要敵擋耶和華並他的受膏者；

詩篇(Psalm) 2:1 外邦為甚麼爭鬧？萬民為甚麼謀算虛妄的事？

2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2:2 世上的君王一齊起來，臣宰一同商議，要敵擋耶和華並他的受膏者，

2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

• 他們的結局是被斥責、陷在自己所掘的坑中、被審判、被滅絕、被神嗤笑；

詩篇(Psalm) 9:5 你曾斥責外邦，你曾滅絕惡人；你曾塗抹他們的名，直到永永遠遠。

9:5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

詩篇(Psalm) 9:19 耶和華啊，求你起來，不容人得勝！願外邦人在你面前受審判！

9:19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

詩篇(Psalm) 9:15 外邦人陷在自己所掘的坑中；他們的腳在自己暗設的網羅裏纏住了。

9:15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

詩篇(Psalm) 10:16 耶和華永永遠遠為王；外邦人從他的地已經滅絕了。

10:16 The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.

詩篇(Psalm) 59:8 但你－耶和華必笑話他們；你要嗤笑萬邦。

59:8 But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.

• 他們是拜偶像的；

詩篇(Psalm) 115:2 為何容外邦人說：他們的神在哪裏呢？

115:2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

115:4 他們的偶像是金的，銀的，是人手所造的，

115:4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

115:5 有口卻不能言，有眼卻不能看，

115:6 有耳卻不能聽，有鼻卻不能聞，

115:7 有手卻不能摸，有腳卻不能走，有喉嚨也不能出聲。

115:8 造他的要和他一樣；凡靠他的也要如此。

• 神必報復他們；

詩篇(Psalm) 149:7 為要報復列邦，刑罰萬民。

149:7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

耶利米書(Jeremiah) 10:25 願你將忿怒傾在不認識你的列國中，和不求告你名的各族上；因為他們吞了雅各，不但吞了，而且滅絕，把他的住處變為荒場。

10:25 Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

• God would justify the heathen through faith (would, if they could be justified)

加拉太書(Galatians) 3:7 所以，你們要知道：那以信為本的人，就是亞伯拉罕的子孫。

3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

3:8 並且聖經既然預先看明，神要叫外邦人因信稱義，就早已傳福音給亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國都必因你得福。」

3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

3:9 可見那以信為本的人和有信心的亞伯拉罕一同得福。

3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

3:10 凡以行律法為本的，都是被咒詛的；因為經上記着：「凡不常照律法書上所記一切之事去行的，就被咒詛。」

3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

• 保羅所傳:

Among the heathen: him (the Son of God);

Unto the Gentiles: the gospel;

Privately to those of reputation in Jerusalem: the gospel.

加拉太書(Galatians) 1:16 既然樂意將他兒子啟示在我心裏，叫我把他傳在外邦人中，我就沒有與屬血氣的人商量，

1:16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

加拉太書(Galatians) 2:2 我是奉啟示上去的，把我在外邦人中所傳的福音對弟兄們陳說；卻是背地裏對那有名望之人說的，惟恐我現在，或是從前，徒然奔跑。

2:2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

路加福音(Luke) 4:41 又有鬼從好些人身上出來，喊着說：「你是神的兒子。」耶穌斥責他們，不許他們說話，因為他們知道他是基督。

4:41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

雅各書(James) 2:19 你信神只有一位，你信的不錯；鬼魔也信，卻是戰驚。

2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

• 最後，神的名無論在Gentiles 或heathen中，都必尊為大。

瑪拉基書(Malachi) 1:11 萬軍之耶和華說：從日出之地到日落之處，我的名在外邦中必尊為大。在各處，人必奉我的名燒香，獻潔淨的供物，因為我的名在外邦中必尊為大。

1:11 For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
