創世記(Genesis) 27:11 雅各對他母親利百加說：「我哥哥以掃渾身是有毛的，我身上是光滑的；

27:11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:

• 光滑 smooth: 在聖經中多含貶意

詩篇(Psalm) 55:21 他的口如奶油光滑，他的心卻懷着爭戰；他的話比油柔和，其實是拔出來的刀。

55:21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

箴言(Proverbs) 5:3 因為淫婦的嘴滴下蜂蜜；她的口比油更滑，

5:3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

以賽亞書(Isaiah) 18:2 差遣使者在水面上，坐蒲草船過海。先知說：你們快行的使者，要到高大**光滑**的民那裏去。自從開國以來，那民極其可畏，是分地界踐踏人的；他們的地有江河分開。

18:2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

18:7 到那時，這高大**光滑**的民，就是從開國以來極其可畏、分地界踐踏人的，他們的地有江河分開；他們必將禮物奉給萬軍之耶和華，就是奉到錫安山－耶和華安置他名的地方。

18:7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.

以賽亞書(Isaiah) 30:10 他們對先見說：不要望見不吉利的事，對先知說：不要向我們講正直的話；要向我們說柔和的話，言虛幻的事。

30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

以賽亞書(Isaiah) 41:7 木匠勉勵銀匠，用鎚打**光**的勉勵打砧的，論銲工說，銲得好；又用釘子釘穩，免得偶像動搖。

41:7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.

• 有毛 hairy: 如同皮衣；在聖經中多含褒意

創世記(Genesis) 25:25 先產的身體發紅，**渾身有毛，如同皮衣**，他們就給他起名叫以掃（就是有毛的意思）。

25:25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.

創世記(Genesis) 3:21 耶和華神為亞當和他妻子**用皮子做衣服**給他們穿。

3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

列王記下(2 Kings) 1:8 回答說：「**他身穿毛衣**，腰束皮帶。」王說：「這必是提斯比人以利亞。」

1:8 And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.

馬太福音 3:4 這約翰身穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲、野蜜。

• 有皮衣的就有遮蓋

創世記(Genesis) 27:23 以撒就**辨不出他來**；因為他手上有毛，像他哥哥以掃的手一樣，就給他祝福；

27:23 And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him.

民數記 23:21 他未見雅各中有罪孽，也未見以色列中有奸惡。耶和華－他的神和他同在；有歡呼王的聲音在他們中間。

68:21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

創世記 25:25 先產的身體發紅，**渾身有毛，如同皮衣**，他們就給他起名叫以掃（就是有毛的意思）。

25:34 於是雅各將餅和紅豆湯給了以掃，以掃吃了喝了，便起來走了。**這就是以掃輕看了他長子的名分**。

以賽亞書 29:13 主說：因為這百姓親近我，用嘴唇尊敬我，心卻遠離我；他們敬畏我，不過是領受人的吩咐。
