創世記(Genesis) 20:16 又對撒拉說：「我給你哥哥一千銀子，作為你在閤家人面前遮羞的（羞：原文是眼），你就在眾人面前沒有不是了。」

20:16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.

（英文：又對撒拉說：「我給了你哥哥一千銀子；**看哪，他是**為你、所有和你一起的、並所有其他人遮眼的」；這樣，她受了責備。）

• 一千銀子: 銀子是贖價；一個人的資財是他自己生命的贖價。

箴言(Proverbs) 13:8 人的資財是他生命的贖價；窮乏人卻聽不見威嚇的話。

13:8 The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

• 亞比米勒將銀子交給亞伯拉罕是為他自己的性命，因神說了：他是個死人。

創世記(Genesis) 20:3 但夜間，神來，在夢中對亞比米勒說：「**你是個死人哪**！因為你取了那女人來；她原是別人的妻子。」

20:7 現在你把這人的妻子歸還他；因為他是先知，**他要為你禱告，使你存活**。你若不歸還他，你當知道，你和你所有的人都必要死。」

• 作為你在閤家人面前遮羞的（羞：原文是眼），

• 這一句與上一句之間是分號，與上一句不是因果關係；並且主語是”他“，不是“銀子”。

亞比米勒需要交銀子贖自己的性命；但撒拉不用交，因亞伯拉罕是為她遮眼的。

路得記(Ruth) 3:9 他就說：「你是誰？」回答說：「我是你的婢女路得。求你**用你的衣襟遮蓋我，因為你是我一個至近的親屬**。」

3:9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.

詩篇(Psalm) 17:8 求你保護我，如同保護眼中的瞳人；**將我隱藏在你翅膀的蔭下**，

17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

• 看哪！基督耶穌也是為祂的新婦教會遮眼的。

第三句的主語是“她“，說明這句不再是亞比米勒對撒拉說的話了。

• 你就在眾人面前沒有不是了。」

thus she was reproved.

（這樣，她就受了責備。）

• 因她的主是替她遮眼受責備的。

歌羅西書(Colossians) 1:22 但如今他藉着基督的肉身受死，**叫你們與自己和好，都成了聖潔，沒有瑕疵，無可責備，把你們引到自己面前**。

哥林多前書(1 Corinthians) 1:8 他也必堅固你們到底，**叫你們在我們主耶穌基督的日子無可責備**。

1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

民數記 23:21 他**未見**雅各中有罪孽，也**未見**以色列中有奸惡。耶和華－他的神和他同在；有歡呼王的聲音在他們中間。

民數記(Numbers) 24:5 雅各啊，你的帳棚何等華美！以色列啊，你的帳幕何其華麗！
