創世記(Genesis) 39:6-9 約瑟的試煉

創世記(Genesis) 39:6 波提乏將一切所有的都交在約瑟的手中，除了自己所吃的飯，別的事一概不知。約瑟原來秀雅俊美。

39:6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

39:7 這事以後，約瑟主人的妻以目送情給約瑟，說：「你與我同寢吧！」

39:8 約瑟不從，對他主人的妻說：「看哪，一切家務，我主人都不知道；他把所有的都交在我手裏。

39:9 在這家裏沒有比我大的；並且他沒有留下一樣不交給我，只留下了你，因為**你是他的妻子。我怎能作這大惡，得罪神呢**？」

• Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

箴言 27:21 鼎為煉銀，爐為煉金，**人的稱讚也試煉人**。

7:18 你來，我們可以飽享愛情，直到早晨；我們可以彼此親愛歡樂。

7:19 因為我丈夫不在家，出門行遠路；

7:20 他手拿銀囊，必到月望才回家。

• 你是他的妻子。我怎能作這大惡，得罪神呢？

提摩太前書(1 Timothy) 3:6 初入教的不可作監督，恐怕他自高自大，就落在魔鬼所受的刑罰裏。

3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

歷代志上(1 Chronicles) 5:1 以色列的長子原是呂便；因他污穢了父親的牀，他**長子的名分就歸了約瑟**。只是按家譜他不算長子。

5:1 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
